the other side

for my last full day here, my mom and i went to the sfmoma. my favorite part was the rooftop garden- the aliens in the desert/playground structure, the painting cakes, and the giant fingernail shape with the tall buildings above it all.

i even think the west oakland bart station is nice. the lights kind of look like the shipping cranes.

yesterday

i forgot to take more pictures at alameda beach because i was too busy watching the little boys run around in circles in cartoon underwear that was backwards.

day 30

sele and i went to an a's/yankees game. we won and i got a new hat. it was great.


on my way there, i went for a neat bike ride. i found some new bike paths and crossed two bridges.


then we drove along one of my most favorite streets, for tortas and cruising.

it's always a good day when you see a pink flamingo in someone's garden.

if i could marry one thing in oakland....

it would be the old oakland/chinatown farmers market.



then, we got stuck in the worst traffic of my recent memory. zoey the puppy slept in the back, and i took the opportunity to get out of the car on the freeway entrance and take some pictures of some industrial things.

6 days

today was a u-haul with your brother kind of day. the best part was the taqueria at the end.

after that

jessamyn and i went out to listen to michael jackson, and pretend to have bottle service. it was a lot of fun.


this morning, when i woke up, i could see the moon from my little bed. you can't really see it in this picture, but it was there in that top sliver of the open window.
